Susi Woodmass
Susi Woodmass is a songwriter and storyteller who clearly sees little distinction between the two jobs. Her songs are soulful, heartfelt and sincere reflections on coming to terms with the human world when you feel there must be something more.
Although she gigs less frequently than some of her labelmates, she has been a driving force in the Galloway music scene for years: she helped resurrect Gatehouse of Fleet's 'Midsummer Music' festival and is a stalwart of the Masonic Thursday night music sessions from which much of the region's best music has sprung.
Her unique fingerpicking and bittersweet voice can hold the noisiest pub in its thrall for the duration of a song - the effect has to be seen and heard to be believed.
Susi will be working on recording some of her material in 2014 and continues to sprinkle fairy-dust over the label as a whole.
